Since Disney decided to bring one last season of Clone Wars, I thought it would be a good idea to do a review on this TV series. As you know, when Disney bought Lucasfilms, they canceled the Clone Wars series. The series had planned to do one more season, but that was canceled because of the buy-out. Instead, Disney launched Star Wars: Rebels.
Warning SPOILERS for Clone Wars and Rebels.
Before I get to deep into Clone Wars, I would like to talk about Rebels for a second.
Star Wars: Rebels

Rebels is a good TV show, bringing some iconic characters from the Clone Wars, such as Ahsoka Tano, and new characters, such as Grand Admiral Thrawn. Now, I watched Clone Wars first. All the way through before I got to Rebels. I thought Rebels was a decent TV show, but it didn’t have the qualities that made Clone Wars amazing.
I’ll come back to this in a second.
But I will say that seeing Ahsoka Tano as an adult, with those dual white bladed lightsabers, brought a tear to my eye. Ahsoka was my character favorite in the entire Clone Wars series.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The reason why this post exist, and the main reason why I’m happy George Lucas created the prequels. For those of you who don’t know, Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a TV series that explains what happens between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. The Clone Wars is great because it has something unique to it. Something that drove the audience to want to watch the show. What is this unique aspect of the show? Well, I think there are three: the show is adventuress, it has amazing characters (villains and heroes alike), and has a fun personality to it. Let’s talk about each point.
Knowing Star Wars, we know that the series is going to be adventuress, but what I mean by this, is that it gives an adventure that your excited about. The show gives you characters, new and old. These characters, for example, could be Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker. We know that Anakin makes it into Revenge of the Sith, but we have never seen Ahsoka in Revenge of the Sith. They don’t spend time on building Anakin up as a character, but instead the build Ahoska. She’s a padawan and is learning the ways of a jedi. The show makes you feel as if you are learning these traits as well. You begin to connect with Ahsoka. They do this because, if Ahsoka gets into a tight situation, than you become worried for her. You don’t know if she’s going to die or not.

Now, we know that Ahsoka makes it into Rebels, but when Clone Wars was out, we didn’t know this. Even knowing this though, you’re still connected to her, and other characters, such as Captain Rex, you connect with too. There are several episodes where Captain Rex is featured heavily. Which makes you think about Order 66.
But the point is, is that Clone wars keeps us on our toes with this type of excitement.
Next, Clone Wars has amazing characters. Star Wars: The Clone Wars has some of the best character development I’ve ever seen. As I said before Ahsoka is my favorite character, but this is closely followed by Darth Maul and Anakin. I would argue that Anakin and Ahsoka are tied for first. Why is this important?
If you’ve seen the prequels, than you HATE Anakin! Episode 1, an annoying little brat, Episode 2 he’s an annoying little teenager with emotional problems, and Episode 3 he’s an easy to manipulate lap dog. He carries an emotional baggage with him that makes you want to kill yourself.
In Clone Wars, he DOESN’T do this!!!
Instead he becomes a wise jedi knight and teaches Ahsoka life valuable goals. I feel like if this was the Anakin we saw in Revenge of the Sith, it would have been way better.

There are other characters as well: General Grievous is another great example. He’s kinda just there in the prequels, but in the TV show, General Grievous is one of the main villains. He’s terrifying. I first realized this when I watched the episode called, “Lair of Grievous” Season 1, Episode 10. This episode is when two jedi knights enter General Grievous’ lair. This episode shows that Grievous isn’t just a lap dog for Count Dooku, but he’s a real threat.
Clone Wars does a great job building it’s characters. Heroes or villains.
Finally, the fun personality of Clone Wars is beautiful. This is evident, for it’s literally all over the place. The biggest example is the droids. Have you seen these droids? They’re amazing! They’re stupidity mixed with their snarky attitude, gives them moments where they steal the show.
There’s one line where a droid says to another droid, as they’re being attacked,
“Have you ever killed a jedi before?”
And the other one responds by saying,
“Nope…Never.”
The other one replies back saying,
“Me neither.”
They both look at each other and continue to shoot at the jedi.
It’s moments like this that make them hilarious, and when you watch the show, it’s even funnier in the moment. These droids create a fun aspect to the show. They make me laugh every time.
Here’s a video I made for you guys to see some of their hilarious comments.

Season 7
Season 7, of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, is going to wrap of the Clone Wars series. I don’t know about you, but the final season we got, wasn’t that good. It left an unsatisfying taste in out mouths. The reason for this, is because of Disney. When Disney bought Lucasfilms, they canceled the show, and started Rebels.

Well, the ending to Clone Wars was left unfinished, but Disney is bringing the show back, to finish the last season that was suppose to be made. If you haven’t seen the trailer, you should because it’s epic.
I’m excited to see how season 7 of the Clone Wars is going to come out. From what I know, it’s going to have twelve episodes in the season. I can’t wait to watch them.

Conclusion
As you can see, Star Wars: The Clone Wars is an amazing show, in my opinion. It has all the aspects of a great show, and after you get the first few episodes, the show soars to victory. This TV series is my favorite Star Wars series, besides the original trilogy.

That’s a big deal, if you think about it. There are over ten movies/TV shows on Star Wars. Plus, we got games, comics, more. There’s countless numbers on great Star Wars sources, but Clone Wars is one of my favorites.

Season 7, of the show, looks like it has the potential to give the show the ending it deserves. I hoping Disney does a good job.
Well, that’s it guys! I’ll have more information about some of these subjects (The Prequels, specific characters, season 7, Rebels, etc.) in the near future. Whether it’s a video or a post, I’ll let y’all know! Until next time!
