Gotham is an interesting show. It’s dark perspective of the city Gotham is amazing. The police are becoming corrupted by the bosses and crime lords, and it seems like Jim Gordon is the only good cop on the force. I think the show is intriguing and interesting, but what I love most about the show, are the bad guys. Well, some of them aren’t bad guys now, but they will be in the Batman comics. Probably the best example of this is Oswald Cobblepot, also known as The Penguin. Penguin is a popular villain in the Batman comics, and he is a very big character in the Gotham show.
Now to be honest, I’m not to far into Gotham. Only episode seven, season one. Not that far, but I’m starting to enjoy the show a good deal. I love the incorporation of all the villains, yet they’re not the biggest and baddest crime lords they will be. Not yet.
Penguin is a crazy character in the show. Like literally, he’s crazy, and a snitch. The actor is portraying Penguin in a way, that I enjoy. I do think that he goes a little far, but this actor is doing a good job. Penguin psychopathic mind is very clear in the show, as he makes his way back to the top. Penguin is one of the biggest characters so far, and on of the creepiest as well.
We’ve already talked about Penguin, but I’m also excited about the Riddler. The Riddler is one of my favorite characters of all time. His attitude was something I always adored in the comics and shows. In the show Gotham, Nygma works for the police department, and is fascinated with a dead body, or a virus that breaks out. Nygma is a character I will remember for a long time, and as I continue through the show, I can’t wait to see how he develops.
Final one isn’t a crime lord, but is a criminal. Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman, is introduced here as a teenager. Her involvement in the show, at least for me, is unknown. I love Catwoman’s character in the comics, and it’s so cool seeing the character as a teenager. I love her mysterious and wonderful character in the show. Also she witness the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne, in the show. This lets her be connected to Jim Gordon, who’s looking for the murder of the Waynes. I love her in the show, and I can’t wait to see what she does next.
The show is very interesting, and I love watching it. The show is different than anything else I’ve watched. I love seeing Bruce Wayne as a kid, and how he develops the character of the Batman I know and love. I love seeing the Gordon become an amazing detective and more. Gotham is a corrupt city, and needs something more than an awesome detective. It doesn’t need a hero, but a vigilante. This show is a great set up for Batman and more. I love Gotham, and I love watching the show. Thanks for reading!
